The System Is Changing – EVERYONE must Register via Basketball Connect

Basketball Queensland (BQ) has changed its registration system which our association Southwest Metro (SWM) is required to use.

The system is changing from ‘GameDay’ to ‘Basketball Connect’.

To help everyone we’ve provided an explanation and links below to walk you through the new process.

Your SWM/BQ Membership – What Is It?

Your registration with SWM and BQ goes towards funding our competition, schedule, umpire training, insurance, electronic scoring etc. All players must be registered with both Runcorn Rockets and SWM/BQ in order to take the court in Season 2.

SWM & BQ Registration via Basketball Connect

Due to the complexity involved in transferring existing Gameday registrations to the Basketball Connect system, BQ have decided that all players must renew their registration via Basketball Connect for Season 2 2022.

This means that even if you’ve got a valid SWM/BQ registration, you will need to re-register via the Basketball Connect system and then request a refund.

How To Register for SWM & BQ

Step 1 - Sign Up and Register via Basketball Connect

*Coaches, Mangers, and Other Volunteers can register themselves first, and then add their child as a participant.

Step 2 - Request refund (if applicable) via Registration Fee Refund Request Form (BC)

* Please note they are currently taking 6 weeks to process refunds, so please make requests asap

Registration validity can be checked by logging in via the Gameday Registration page, clicking through to ‘3. Extra Info’ and scrolling down to ‘Items’ section – see image below.
