Hi All,

Second week down & everything seems to be falling into place. We do have hiccups at the beginning of every season, it is not a perfect world but we will always look for improvements.

Update on our Sponsors’ shirts, we have given out over 300 shirts to our U8 & U10, U12 girls, half U14 girls & U14 boys and this week we will be doing U12 boys. There was a mistake made by our supplier and they made everything smaller than it should have been, which is why we are doing smaller age groups first & we will then reorder the larger sizes. Don’t forget to wear these shirts to your game.

Firstly we appreciate everyone who helps and lately we have had some mums helping with the shirts which was a huge help and also new mums and dads to the club helping with the U8’s/10’s so thank you very much. There are many things that we need help with and it is so appreciated when we have extra hands, so thank you to all our helpers.

Don’t forget we need a parent on the score bench every game – it is not difficult and we will get someone to assist you if you are a first timer and from experience the kids do love seeing mum and dad being involved.

We have our AGM on Monday 27^th July at Hibiscus at 7pm. If you would like to see who is involved in your child’s basketball club and see where your fees go, please come along and have a chat.

This week’s information from our Auditors report:

# Coaching and Committee expenses - $8,682. This is for training run for coaches, paying for external coaches such as our Thursday sessions, coaches’ clinics, coaches uniforms, School clinics, etc. In regard to the committee, it is about administration outgoings such as paper, printing, stationery, flyers, signs, etc.

# Audit fees for 2018 & 2019 - $1,453.We engage a professional auditor to prepare a report so everyone knows that all monies are accounted for.

About games – we encourage all our members to participate in fixtures or the fun games for the U8’s. If you are 5,6 or 7 years old, you play on Saturday morning at 8am at Runcorn. If you are 8 years or older you play full court games and need to be registered with Southwest. Please send us an email if you are not sure of what team you are in or have any queries.
