I thought I would send something out to clear the air a little, Below is what we received from Basketball Qld.

You may have seen or heard the announcement this morning regarding new restrictions regarding outdoor and indoor gatherings. I want to stress, as both the Premier and Chief Health Officer did throughout their press conference, that this only applies to private gatherings and that all activities that have a COVID Safe plan can continue. This includes community sport.

As such it is business as “usual” this weekend however I would implore you to all ensure that you are following the COVID Safe Industry Plan- Indoor Sports and the BQ Return to Play Guidelines and where possible going above and beyond with your measures.

Every person that enters a Basketball Stadium has to sanitize, and after every game every chair & every single item is sanitized. Venues are inspected to ensure they are following protocol and every venue has a Covidsafe Officer including Rockets.

Basketball has been great ensuing everyone is kept safe & I would like to thank all of you for helping and doing the right thing.

So for now everything is as per normal & everyone is having a great time playing Basketball. I did watch a few games on the weekend and I still get a buzz out of watching the kids laughing and enjoying themselves.
