Hi All,

We know things are quiet when I am able to send out something on a Saturday morning , but these times do give us all time to catch up with lots of little things we have been putting off. I did miss seeing everyone during the week and we have the Easter break so it may be a few more weeks before we catch up.

The other week I was sitting with some parents watching our U8s play and the kids are very, very good. To ensure our kids don't lose their edge and have something to do during the

break we will be doing some basic training videos and posting/emailing them to you so we

are all ready for when the season starts again. We will try to target our drills where you don’t need a hoop, but if you want to shoot hoops there are many outdoor courts available in our

area.

Yes Mums and Dads, you will be running the training program during the Easter holidays and when

we come back I will get the coaches to check to see if everyone did something. If you enjoy your time training with your children we would be very happy to develop your skills and give you a Blue Coach's shirt to wear.

From my perspective, I believe our kids need to be playing sport to maintain fitness and an outlet for stress, especially in a time where the media and society are continually painting a picture of doom

and gloom. Children just need to be children, there is always doom and gloom out there but for me

sport is a great time when we don’t think of those things we just smile, run around and have fun. In a

few weeks we will get the social interactions and team spirit going again once proper training and

games start.

We will talk to the coaches and see if they have anything planned with their teams over the break and if so, the club will see what support they need.
