Hi All,

This is my last email for 2021.

The festive period is a wonderful time of the year and I hope you are all enjoying the break. This year has been particularly challenging but I believe we all still had a great time, we had our movie day, holiday camps, a little tournament and some great Christmas parties, I hope you all saw the pics on Instagram and Facebook.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for everything you have done to help us make your child’s time at Runcorn Rockets an enjoyable time this year. Things such as washing singlets, scoring, bringing the children to training & games on time and of course to all our coaches thank you very much as all these things do make so much difference and it is very much appreciated.

I receive so many comments from coaches, committee members, Referees and Southwest staff about how well behaved our members are and you should all feel very proud of your children.

Some things that will be occurring in 2022:

# U12 and younger age groups will use Size 5 balls - we have ordered several hundred Basketballs so there will be plenty if you can't find one in a store

# Everyone playing with us this season will receive a Rockets Game quality Basketball or Tee shirt and Socks for free

# Game times will increase to 10 minutes a quarter - it was 8 minutes a quarter earlier in the year

# Grading day/Sign on day on Saturday 22^nd January – times are on our web site. First game will be on Friday and Saturday 3 & 4^th February

# There will be another day option for U8 & U10. This age group can train on a Monday or Friday and now also a Wednesday if Monday or Friday do not suit.

We would appreciate everyone registering as soon as possible so teams can be organised before the start of the season. Southwest need the teams the week before the 3^rd & 4^th so they can do the draw. Our process is when we have enough registered players we register a team and inform Southwest. If you are not registered and not in a team we cannot guarantee you will be playing the first week.
