Hi everyone,

What an amazing weekend we just had!!

Firstly, thank you to all the supporters and parents. We won lots of games against the other clubs & it was important to show our children to be humble in victory & gracious in defeat as this shows a strength in character & level of honour.

Season 1 is now finished, next Saturday is a Hustle 3 x 3, to date there are teams from Ipswich, Southern districts, Gold Coast and I believe Sunshine Coast so there are lots of teams from lots of different areas. This will make the games very exciting and new friendships will be formed. If you have not registered your team please start very soon before they close off. If you don’t have enough players for a team, please contact us and we will give you some names of other children that might be interested.

We are happy to supply the singlets for any of Rockets players forming a team that are registering to play.

We have a holiday camp 28^th, 29th and 30th which is open to everyone not just Rockets players so please tell your friends to come and join in.

For season 2, we already have about 120 children registered for next season and a lot of them are new to the club.

Please don’t leave registering too long as we want all our children to come back and play with us. We don’t want you to miss out.

We will have our trial game for season 2 on Saturday, 3 July. We will try to organise everyone into teams a few days after this date and then send out emails to inform you of your coach, times and location of the training. You will not be put into a team unless you are registered with us.

Lots of the coaches have contacted us to say that they want to still be coaching in season 2. If you have not contacted us, please contact us as soon as you can and we will find you a position. We have positions for coaches, assistant coaches and managers.

It was really exciting to see how everyone developed from the beginning of the season 1 to the end of the season. Next season I am confident that the teams will do even better. The committee and I were very happy with everyone’s performance on and off the courts.
