HAPPY FATHER's DAY

Well another week has gone by and we all seem to be in full swing of things at Basketball.

I hope those that went to our Movie day last Sunday enjoyed themselves and I really enjoyed seeing the children's excitement. We are finalising our little tournament that is occurring on 24/25 September. These will be mostly night games with music and will be different to what most of the children will be used to and I am looking forward to this. We will send the draw out in the coming week or two.

What I have noticed lately is children are saying that mum or dad will get me something if I score 3 points or more in their game. It is wonderful if they score but that only occurs when you have a great team that supports each other. I would like to see the rewards to include great intercepts, great passes or great defence or stopping the other team from scoring or displaying great teamwork on the court. Kids playing these types of fundamental practices contribute to the team's success allowing some-one to score.

This coming week the Calamvale courts are not available so some Friday night games will be on Saturday. These will mainly be U15 Boys Red teams so please be aware of that.

Also if you have bought a ball, shorts or shirt please give us a call or email and we can organise a pick up or for us to take them to your training session for you.
