A great finish to the Tournament Season

We’ve wrapped up another exciting season, and from all the photos shared, it’s clear everyone had an amazing time over the weekend. Congratulations to all players, coaches, and families for the energy and spirit you brought to every game.

A few important updates as we head into the break:

Taiwan Trials – 2 teams

📅 4 April

📍 Hibiscus Stadium

⏰ 10:00–12:30 AM

Taiwan U13 team - 2013, 2014 & 2015

Taiwan U15 team - 2011, 2012, 2013

These trials are for the Taiwan tour squad travelling in the September holidays, we will be taking an U15 and U13 team. Best of luck to all the athletes participating.

U16 and U19 teams vs New Zealand Tour Team

We will be hosting both Under 16 and Under 18 games against a New Zealand tour team:

The first game will be the youner boys then followed by the U18 Gold team.

• Monday 6th April – Nissan Arena…4:00-7:00pm ( mixed u14 &U16 Purple & U18 Gold)

• Wednesday 8th April – Nissan Arena.. 3:15-6:00pm @ Nissan (U16 Purple & U18 Gold)

China Tour

Dr. Ruan, the Consular General of China, spoke with our group about the upcoming tour and has invited us to the Consular General’s office for a celebration upon our return. The Education Department of the Chinese Government contacted us and our tour is now called - Australia’s Queensland Youth Basketball People-to-People Exchange Delegation to China.

Dr Ruan presented the club with a magnacificant gift and everyone on the tour received a Tee shirt from Dr Ruan of the Chinese Government with a Kola Bear and Panda representing Australia and China.

Below is most of the Delegation that is travelling on the 15th - with our travels we will keep you up to date while we are in China. Yes it is quite large we wil have 47 travelling to China this trip.

🎉 Upcoming Club Events

🏆 Mini Tournament – Early May

We’ll be hosting a mini tournament against Belmont Saints at Hibiscus with 16 teams participating. More details will be shared after Easter.

🎬 Movie Day – Early August

The club movie day is planned for early August. We’re currently finalising film options and will announce the selection shortly.

🏀 Training

Please check with your coaches regarding training sessions this week. Venues have been booked, but some coaches may be away or preparing to travel.

There will be no training on Friday.
