About Town

The club is now doing weekly one-hour sessions with MacGregor State Primary School, weekly 2 hour sessions at Sunnybank Special School and have just finished a full day of basketball with 100 children at Warrigal Road Primary School.

I would like to thank Jonathan Flannery from Body Corporate Services, Giggs and Natasha from AMA Products and Bodyrite and Corey from Toyota Forklifts. Without the help from these wonderful sponsors we would not be able to help the children in the schools in our area.

Award Winners

The club sponsors 2 Sports awards at Runcorn State High School. The school just had their Sports Awards Night last Thursday and we would like to congratulate Yamato Kawai and Dylan Don Lewis who were the recipients of the Runcorn Rockets Emerging Talent for Basketball.

Upcoming tournament

You may have seen some of the photos from the Club Championships recently and there is a similar type of tournament called the Bronwyn Vigors Pacific Challenge that will be held on 10 and 11^th December in Coffs Harbour..

We have previously attended this tournament and there are teams from NSW and Queensland which compete. These tournaments are extremely competitive and have age groups U11, 13, 15, and 17 Boys and Girls. If you are interested in nominating a team, please see your coach who in turn will contact the age co-ordinator. We do need to nominate teams very shortly.
