First week of term 4

Hi all,

first week back after the holidays and some things I’d like to share.

Our young members

I would like to tell you about some of the special young adolescence we have in our club:

# we have Mini Shmaryan and Isla Mclaren who coach our Under 13 girls

# Alex Loft and Riley Paul from our Div 1 under 18 team coaching under 13 boys

# we have Lennon Bann who is a representative player coaching under 13 boys

# we have Cooper Brown and Lucas Mansell who play U18 and have represented their school and have played for the Pirates coaching an Under 9 boys team

# Sam Simons and Richard Zhang play in Gold division team and currently in U19 and U15 and have started to help with our U7/U9 training

# we have Lexus Ierome who is a representative player is helping with the U11 Girls

# Makayla Smith who is a Division 1 representative U12 player helps with training the U7/U9 children and sometimes the younger girls teams.

This I believe makes us different to other clubs, as we want to develop our young people to become wonderful adults and truly understand what it means to help others and not to want something in return.

When a young person becomes a coach they then truly understand how joyful it is giving back to others and not expecting anything in return and they do learn so many life skills.

We have always had older children helping and it is always wonderful seeing children giving back; parents of these children, you should all be very proud of them.

I believe the draw is out for the entire year so that should help with everyone’s planning.

Breakup parties

Our breakup / end of year party for under 7’s, U9, U11, U13 will be at Hibiscus Pool on Sunday 27th November we will have a DJ, swimming, lots of games, food and drinks.

Under 7’s U9’s will receive a participation medal. All of these medals will be supplied by JoyEd Academy and we appreciate their help. If your child wants that extra help with Math, English etc please contact them and say we said thank you. They will be supplying medals for 4 teams of Under 7’s and 11 teams of U9’s teams. Just to give you an idea of the size of this - this number of teams is the entire size of Rochedale Wildcats club which is a club in our association.

Under 11‘s and under 13’s will have the most valuable player and most improved player trophy.

The U15 & under 17s will have something a little bit different and we are planning that at the moment and we will tell you when and what will occur hopefully next week.

I know it seems early but we want everyone to come so you have time to plan for the day.
