Hi everyone,

I hope we all enjoyed your weekend of Basketball and the movie if you made it. We had over 220 people attend the

movie and it was great to see everyone there and from the reaction I believe we will look to do it again.

I did speak to management after the movie and they commented how well your children behaved considering how

many we had. Rockets will look for new releases that everyone may be interested in and we can do it again.

This coming week there may be some minor changes to the Friday night youth league girls (FNYL) competition as it

seemed not a balanced competition and Southwest made some changes. I don’t believe this affects any of our teams but mainly other clubs. I think all other teams have now started competition proper.

So many things have already changed for the season -

The season has been extended a week through to 10th December and Rockets have organised a small tournament

during the September holidays.

The draws are being worked upon and hopefully we will have the draw out at the end of next week and the games will be on Friday and Saturday 24th and 25th September from early evening.

Please remember you must have your uniform to play which is your shorts or your team will lose five points during the competition. Checking game times is so much easier if you use the team app, if you don’t have the App please contact us & we will send you a word document on how to download the team app.

As I previously mentioned all teams have to supply someone on the score bench which is not difficult only pressing a

couple of buttons. For first timers we will get a court supervisor to spend a few minutes with you in the first part of the

game.

You will see a different perspective of the game sitting close to the team bench and the children do enjoy seeing you

part of their sport.
