Hi everyone,

Finals start this week. When you look for your games this week you will have to look under the finals tab, some game draws are not finalised but the draw should be completed by Tuesday.

We have 34 teams (maybe a few more) playing in the finals which is truly an amazing feat. It just goes to show how hard your children work and how well our coaches have worked with your children. I know all our children are humble when we win and respectful when we lose and with finals we have to be very mindful of that.

We have so many more teams compared to all other clubs. The approximate total number of teams that are in each club are Hurricanes has a total of 21 teams, Hornets 36, Hawks 18, Rochedale 15 teams and they may get a maximum of half their teams playing in the finals. With the number of teams that we have playing in finals we will have close to the combination of all other clubs so there will be lots of Rockets teams compared to others so please be respectful of others.

If you have not made finals, please check with your coach to see if they are available to run any training.

Basketball Qld has changed the ball size for some age groups in 2022 – the change is now all U12 boys & girls all use size 5 balls, everything else stays the same. The reason I am telling you this is that in season 1, 2022 every registered child receives either a free tee shirt & socks or a basketball. Because of the change in ball size we do not have any stock at the moment but we will have them all before the season starts.

We had our older boys and girls break up on Saturday night will have U15s this Saturday at Runcorn State High School 5pm – 8pm. All the younger age groups are on Sunday 12^th December. We do need numbers for the break ups for catering purposes, so get in quick so you don't miss out;.

You can register for next year and there is a link on our homepage where the training is for next year. We had to turn away a lot of people this year so we have acquired more additional venues for training so please tell your friends if they would like join they are very welcome.

We will have a Grading day on 22^nd January & we will have the times for each different age groups on our website in a few weeks.
