Hi everyone,

Rockets have organised a professional to run a Mental First Aid Workshop for us and you are all invited.

The course will equip adults with the skills to recognise and respond to an adolescent who may be experiencing a mental health problem, this could be as simple as thinking they are not good enough for the team or do not believe they are pleasing others. Using a practical, evidence-based action plan, Youth MHFA teaches participants how to support an adolescent - supporting our children is the most importing thing we can do as parents and hopefully things like these workshop help us do this.

The workshop will run for one and a half days and you will also receive a booklet to keep from the workshop and Rockets is paying all the costs. There are limited numbers so please be early as we want as many people to come as possible but we don't want to overload the room.

The Day and times are finalised we have not finalised the location but it will be one of the classrooms at Runcorn State High School.

Day 1: Saturday 1st April, 8am-5pm

Day 2: Sunday 2nd April, 1pm-6pm

To get qualifications in the Mental Health section you would have had to attend both days. If you cannot attend both day every little bit of knowledge you gain in the area is worthwhile.
