Hi All,

From the conversations I had with people and seeing the smiling faces on the players on the courts and after eating their sausages everyone had a great day on Saturday.

On Saturday we had around 700 players and over 1600 people in attendance on the day. Rockets had nearly 50 coaches, 7 age coordinators and12 people working in the merchandise store and greeting people. We also had people populating teams in the computer and our external coaching partners supplied 2 coaches one is currently playing NBL1 and Deola won the National 3 x 3 Competition this year and many people offered to help on the day which is such great thing so thank you.

Below is one of the groups warming up - we will post some pics and videos later on in the week.

Today (Sunday) the coordinators have been talking to coaches, checking training venues and allocating players into each team and they will notifying everyone shortly about the team they have been assigned to.

All age groups are the same in that they train one day and play on the weekend. The U8’s and U10 will have their normal training day i.e. Monday or Wednesday at 4:30 – 5:30 or a Friday 4-5.

We are thrilled to announce that this week we will be registering a total of 71 teams for the upcoming Friday night and Saturday games. This is an incredible accomplishment especially considering that every single person involved in this endeavour is a volunteer.

We have given all our teams to Southwest and they expect all the other clubs to have their teams in by Tuesday. After they have all the teams for the week they will do the draw and we should know by Wednesday afternoon what the draw is for this week.

We are trying to organise a time to open our merchandise store for everyone who was not able to get to the grading day, I will send something out in a day or so.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Taiwan tour by buying raffle tickets and the sausages and everyone else that dedicated their time and effort to make Saturday possible. We look forward to a fantastic season ahead!
