Hi Rockets members,

I hope this newsletter finds you all well.

Just updating everyone that our trials have been completed. It has been an intense period of evaluation and selection and I am pleased to announce that most of the teams are now finalized. I think we ended up with 76 teams and approximately 112 train only children of all different ages. There are a couple of teams that are having fine tuning but it is mostly all completed.

The upcoming week will mark the start of the highly anticipated season 2 proper. We have been working diligently to ensure that each team is placed in the appropriate division, hopefully guaranteeing a fair competition and an enjoyable experience for all participants.

There has already been some great games and below are a couple of our U14 teams that played each other, some coaches are that tired they have to lie down. Throughout the season we will be taking photos of your children and videoing some games. We will send you the link to the video as they are stored in the cloud and the photos will be on Facebook and Instagram. We will notify you when they are available.

We had approximately 12 coaches recently complete the Basketball Qld coaches course. To date this season we have already had NBL1 head coach, NBL1 players, Pirates representative coaches, coaching director of South West Metro and Deola who won the 3x3 Australian Championships this year who have come in and support your children and their coaches.

If your team does not have a manager, I would like to suggest considering being part of your child's sport. Being involved in your child's sports activities not only allows you to support them but also helps in building a strong bond with them.

I want to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a fantastic season ahead. May your efforts translate into success on the field but more importantly your family and children create lasting memories and friendships throughout their sporting journey. Remember, sportsmanship and teamwork are essential, so let's always strive to support and uplift one another.
